| The coastline is spectacular! The cliff tops are as high as 900 feet above the foaming surf! You can actually look down on the seagulls, kittiwakes, guillemots, gannets and murres as they fly over the ocean.
Under your feet, among the weathered limestone gravel and imbedded in the boulders, are numerous fossils, like the cephalopod in the image above.
This route is a one-day hike, covering about 6 kilometers of wilderness. There are no marked trails. The area is dry, over bare broken rock and by way of animal trails through wooded areas, from an elevation of 900' to sea level.
Map and compass may not be necessary, but the area is subject to prevailing onshore winds and fog. Generally the hiking is easy to moderate.
